The Arcane Transmutor

The Arcane Transmutor is a powerful interface to transform runes and equipment into more powerful items. Able to increase the effects of Enhancement Runes and add on additional effects, it is a essential tool to master in Runes of Magic. The transmutor is locked until level 10 at which point it can be unlocked by talking to Lehman in the Class Hall in Varanas.

Every use of the arcane transmutor requires a single charge. You gain 10 charges upon unlocking the arcane transmutor and additional charges can be purchased with Phirius Token Coins (30 tokens for 1 charge at the class hall, 300 tokens for 10 charges at the item shop).

Power Stone Transmutation

There are 2 types of power stone; Fusion and Mana. Enhancing a piece of equipment with transmutation is a multi-step process which requires both Fusion and Mana stones. Fusion stones can be purchased from Odeley Prole, the Enchanter in Varanas or from other players in the auction house. Mana stones are created using the arcane transmutor but they may also be purchased in the auction house.

Transmutation Process

First, you combine a fusion stone with a single piece of equipment to create a mana stone.

Next, you combine three mana stones with a single piece of equipment to transfer the stats from the mana stones to the equipment.

Mana stones must be the same tier as the equipment they will be combined with. In most cases the mana stone created will be of the same tier as the equipment used.

The six weakest runes are transferred over, weakest determined by rune number. Power I is weaker than Wisdom II. In the case of yellow stats such as Brute, it is twice the strength of the green. Brute I is the same as Power II.

To get the best possible stats use power stones that have the exact same stats on them to get the fewest number of weak stats on the gear.

Mana stones can also be used to increase the tier of equipment strengthening the base stats by 10% per a tier increase. Combining 3 mana stones of the same tier create 1 mana stone of a higher tier.

Rune Transmutation

Transmuting runes allow you to create new more powerful runes. 5 of any of the same rune form a rune one step above. 5 Power I runes create a Power II, 5 Power II runes create a Power III and so on.
